In its 20th year the Anglia in Bloom competition covers over a hundred towns and cities in six counties and on Wednesday it was Hunstanton’s turn to be inspected by the President of Anglia in Bloom Brian Thornton and fellow Judge Phillip Feller.

Children from the Brancaster CE VA School Choir with their teacher Catherine Golding sang with Hunstanton’s Community Choir at a special event on Tuesday at the Town Hall when a cheque was presented to the school by the Choir members.
Drama Festival Success Stories

The 2016 Drama Festival of One Act Plays drew to a successful conclusion at the Princess Theatre last Sunday when the trophies were presented by the Mayor of Hunstanton, Cllr James Johnson. This particular Festival marked 25 years of the Festival in its present form.

Opening the Drama Festival on Thursday evening Chairman and Chief Adjudicator Michael Williamson welcomed the Borough Mayor and Mayoress Cllr and Mrs David Whitby, the Mayor of Hunstanton Cllr James Johnson, Deputy Mayor Cllr Adrian Winnington and The Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts Committee to the celebratory reception of the popular annual Drama Festival.
Litter pick in Hunstanton

Ahead of the Anglia in Bloom judging day on 13th July, a team of volunteers led by Pat Richardson set about a town litter pick on a breezy Saturday morning. Working on the upper and lower Green the team concentrated on collecting the thousands of cigarette butts that have been left on the grass.

The Church of St Andrew’s Ringstead and thirteen of the village’s gardens were open to the public on Sunday with an Art Exhibition, Guided Walk, Crafts at The Gin Trap, lunches at the Old Rectory and Teas at Westgate House completing the day’s events.
